Pedro Gómez x Lander Urquijo

We are proud to announce the new collaboration of the season: Pedro Gómez x Lander Urquijo. Four unique designs with selected fabrics from the prestigious firm Loro Piana exclusively for Lander Urquijo.

Following the roadmap marked in previous collaborations in which the traditional and the avant-garde join forces, the alliance with Lander Urquijo is something natural. Not in vain its catalog is also handmade, limited edition, with personalized treatment and with the best quality raw material, making their garments into something unique and exclusive.

Of this wonderful Pedro Gomez x Lander Urquijo capsule of 4 references of Loro piana with Storm System technology, two are of the stunning 100% Australian cashmere that has made the Italian flyer famous. One of them in classic camel and the other in navy. In the other two garments the choice has been a 100% wide herringbone wool fabric simulating a bit of English tweed in royal navy and medium grey.

In addition to the exclusive labeling of this union, the garments have an inside pocket and one of the hallmarks of this garment: zippers on the sleeves to remove them and turn it into a vest.

We give the floor to Lander Urquijo: “the collaboration with Pedro Gómez has been the culmination of the illusion of working with someone who marked an era in technical textiles in previous decades. Once he arrived in Madrid in 2002, Lander began to learn about the Pedro Gómez phenomenon through friends and began to look for information about him, becoming an admirer of his work and good work.

In 2009, when he founded the brand and created in parallel with his friend Luis Bermejo Passage Prive, a vintage furniture store, they began to wander about the possibility of contacting Pedro and revive the brand. When Lander learned of the rebirth of the brand decided to contact him to carry out what today becomes a reality: Pedro Gomez x Lander Urquijo.

For us it has been a huge illusion to be able to make this collaboration with a brand with history and tradition in our country, so lacking in brands with a background like Pedro Gómez has. In it we wanted to combine what is for us a slogan: tradition and vanguard”.

And last but not least, we must underline the importance of Loro Piana. Entering the business as wool merchants in the 19th century, the relevance and image of the northern Italian brand began to take off in the 1970s with the management of brothers Luigi and Sergio.

A longevity of six generations starring a care in the development of fabrics, a palpable corporate social responsibility, and a constant evolution and change in the needs of the industry and its customers. As a result of this dedication and quality, Loro Piana is currently one of the most prestigious companies in the textile and classic fashion sector in the world.

Although Loro Piana has also established itself as a textile institution at the forefront of technology, with innovative tools to make its fabrics multipurpose and be able to make them into sportswear and clothing. An example of this is the Storm System© technology, which achieves a double barrier waterproofing that repels water and wind penetration but allows breathability.
